At Rainbow Rumble, safety for all is a core focus for us. With this in mind, we will be providing a Rainbow lanyard to every participant (students, mentors, volunteers, etc). This lanyard will serve as a symbol to others that you consent to your photo being taken and used in team and event media. If you happen to take a photo or video of a participant and can not clearly see the lanyard, DO NOT publicly post that photo or video.
Many of the participants at this event may be members of the LQBTQ+ community, and some of them may not be publicly open or out. We ask that you please respect this process and look for the Rainbow lanyards when taking or posting ANY photos or videos of participants. We want to ensure that all members of our community have a safe and fun event, where they can choose to openly be their authentic selves.
Complying with this media policy will serve to protect the safety and wellbeing of our participants while allowing us to continue to have an enjoyable event in the future!
